We are keen to have team members who are self-motivated and highly driven to maximise efficiency, to join our fast-growing team as Manager / Senior Manager - Product Expert - Fresh, Own Brands (APAC), in capacity of individual contributors. You'll help us build an exclusive high value delivering portfolio of Own Brand products, which not just excites customers and grow our business at speed, but also our finance team, delivering higher profitability Index.

As a Product Expert you will be responsible for :

• Bring in the right product and consumer understanding to develop great quality exclusive Own Brand products, with focus on detailing, delivering at speed, aspiring to be better/different than the rest while working with select vendor partners.
• Should be a sharp, tough and an experienced negotiator to be able to drive a high efficiency level from the word go. The success of Own Brands depends largely on the value we are able to offer to the customer and the organisation.
• Manage existing and build new vendor relationships at, Regional and Global level for not just products but also for packaging so as to work in depth on the product cost.
• Build a holistic market and sourcing eco system understanding at Regional and Global level so as to drive from source procurement, retaining high product authenticity and value delivery effectiveness.
• Keep raising the bar on efficiency by building a product level P&L view from the early stage to ensure that the price and margin advantage is not compromised at any time.
• Watch closely and manage the inventory stress on the system and consistently work towards achieving a -ve working capital operational state.
• Work collaboratively with the other strategic and operations partner teams to improve the overall product development pace & efficiency from quality, cost effectiveness, serviceability and consumer retention.
• Set up a business and performance review process with all markets and drive business growth agendas while supporting and influencing the Country category and own brands team members.

Experience required:

• Graduation in the field of Agriculture / Agri Tech.

• Overall experience of 8-10yrs in the field of product sourcing & management
• Min 3yrs of experience of direct sourcing of F&V portfolio from Malaysia
• Must have worked in Fresh (handling F&V and M&S) business in a MT format
• Experience of Online Grocery/Fresh format is an added advantage
• Experience in Fresh Category Management is an added advantage
• Must have experience of sourcing local and imported assortment from multiple countries
• Should have excellent project management skills to identify work streams, assigning tasks to the right team member and plan rollouts while adhering to projected timelines
