About Agri-Food As part of EDB\xe2\x80\x99s Strategy Group, the Agri-Food team develops and implements strategies for Singapore to become a leading global hub for highly sustainable and productive Agri-Food technologies, such as Urban Agriculture, Aquaculture and Alternative Proteins.
In this role, you will engage with global business leaders at the forefront of Agri-Food innovation, sense disruptive technology opportunities and work with other EDB teams and government agencies to create this new and exciting industry sector for Singapore.
This is an individual contributor role, with opportunities to manage other offices if you demonstrate the necessary experience or potential to do so.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of emerging trends and developments in Agri-Food tech sectors through a blend of desktop research and voice of customer engagements with various stakeholders. Help to formulate an internal point of view on upcoming Agri-Food technologies and how we should position Singapore to capture economic opportunities in these areas.
• Design and develop value propositions, such as initiatives, policies and programmes, that are relevant to Agri-Food tech companies. This includes collaboration with teams in EDB (e.g. Accounts, International Operations, New Ventures, Policy & Planning) or external parties including the rest of Singapore government.
• Engage with global Agri-Food business leaders to set up activities, such as R&D and production, in Singapore.
• Scale adoption of relevant products and value propositions among various industry segments, by working with Accounts, International Operations and the Investment Facilitation team. This includes supporting them in their company engagements by jointly shaping new opportunities.

Senior Managers\xe2\x80\x99 responsibilities will involve larger scopes, more complexity and higher levels of autonomy compared to that of Managers.
Qualifications

• At least 3-6 years of work experience. Background in business, consulting or product management roles preferred but not a prerequisite
• Must be interested and comfortable with science and technology, especially related to Agri-Food technologies
• Driven, self-motivated and able to manage fast-paced, dynamic work situations
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to distil complex issues and suggest actionable solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to engage internal and external stakeholders across different levels of seniority
• Strong project management and time management skills
• Values and actively promotes a respectful and caring work culture
• Singaporean
