Job Description


This is a senior role for the Business Services Division of COG. The role provides the opportunity for a risk manager with strong organizational and communications skills to join Group Procurement. This integral role will support Macquarie\'s Supplier Governance framework, working with a broad stakeholder network across Macquarie.

To be successful you will need to be flexible and adaptable, with exceptional interpersonal skills to develop relationships across the Businesses and region. You will need to be efficient and well organised, as well as able to problem-solve, finding solutions to situations as they arise.

In this role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the implementation of the Supplier Governance policy and Supplier Life Cycle Standard in the region including effective communication and training of framework requirements.
  • Monitoring and supporting ongoing compliance to the Supplier Governance Policy, including ensuring quality and integrity of supplier assurance data captured in our Supplier Risk Management system (\xe2\x80\x9cMySupplier\xe2\x80\x9d)
  • Partnering with the global Third Party Risk team, providing strategic support to Macquarie\'s relationship managers by ensuring governance of suppliers is in line with Macquarie\'s risk appetite and policy including:
  • Provide SME support for questions around outsourcing and intra-group framework and processes (including our core technology: MySupplier). Work closely with aligned subject matter experts (Cyber, Resilience)
  • Quality review and control assurance of profiling activities, ensuring detailed supplier risk profiles and adherence to governance requirements across the life cycle of the supplier relationship.
Facilitate due diligence processes, where necessary assist the Businesses to remediate risks identified during risk assessments in collaboration with RMG and BORM.
  • Work with internal risk and sourcing experts (RMG, Sourcing, Technology, Business Unit Supplier Governance Office(s), Legal, BORMs) to continually improve procedures, tools and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices for third party risk.
  • Support technology change processes for effective and efficient third party risk management. Acting as an SME and managing UAT as necessary to build out tools which support self-assessment against the framework and improved, holistic approval workflow;
  • Developing guidance in the form of procedure documents, FAQs, training and communications
  • Support regulatory change projects relevant to the region, to ensure the Supplier Governance framework remains compliant to local regulatory requirements, in line with industry best practice.
  • Support the delivery of key projects relevant to supplier risk and outsourcing:
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement, and delivering value across a range of initiatives relating to supplier governance
  • Support the development of a global approach to intra-group outsourcing governance, ensuring focus on regional regulatory approach and best practice
  • Support the standardization of Regulated Legal Entity approaches to outsourcing, including collaborating in the production and maintenance of internal documentation (policy/ process/ training documents). Where necessary developing Regional Addendums to policy documents.
  • Maintaining regional outsourcing registers and performing outsourcing reviews as needed.
  • Reporting and analytics over key metrics providing insights to regional management and global stakeholders including:
  • Key responsibility for management information and reporting to regional COOs, Regulated Local Entity boards/management committees and RMG as relates to outsourcing (third party and intra-group)
  • Supporting broader supplier risk reporting that demonstrates Business Unit adherence to the supplier governance framework for local management committees, the Board;
  • Thematic insights reporting (e.g., management information on key trends or risk areas such as concentration risk;
  • External reporting to regulators in collaboration with RMG on supplier risk and outsourcing as needed.
  • Experience playing a leading role in regulatory transformational projects to tight deadlines.
  • Practical experience with implementation of governance standards in supply chain
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a geographically dispersed team with global stakeholders, able to assimilate information quickly with high attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills, highly self-motivated and able to determine priorities, meet deadlines and SLAs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate, persuade and will maintain confidence when challenged.
  • An understanding of business drivers and a strategic capability to harmonise risk management with business needs.
