What the role is:

The Auditor-General\'s Office (AGO) is an independent organ of state and the national auditor. Our mission is to audit and report to the President and Parliament on the proper accounting and use of public resources to enhance public accountability. AGO conducts various audits and our observations include system weaknesses, non-compliance with control procedures or legislation, and instances of excess, extravagance, or gross inefficiency leading to waste in the use of public funds and resources. We are looking for candidates who possess drive for achievements, excellent analytical abilities, communication and interpersonal skills. The Strategic Planning & Policy Department (SPPD) oversees AGO\'s strategic planning process and policy formulation. It functions as the centre for knowledge and insights at AGO. SPPD also performs liaison work and fosters constructive partnerships with local and international stakeholders.

What you will be working on:

Responsibilities: You will help to analyse trends and developments that affect AGO\'s work with the aid of large language models, revamp AGO\'s intranet and enhance its knowledge management system and processes. Your role and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform environmental scanning, including the gathering and development of insights \xe2\x80\xa2 Strengthen AGO\'s knowledge management system and processes (including working with vendor and other stakeholders to revamp look and feel of AGO\'s intranet) \xe2\x80\xa2 Administer the audit management system \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform liaison work with external stakeholders as part of stakeholder engagement \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in formulation or review of AGO\'s audit policies and procedures \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in other ad-hoc projects where necessary

Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 1-2 years of relevant experience (requirement may be waived if applicant demonstrates strong aptitude and attitude) \xe2\x80\xa2 Having some knowledge or experience in accounting/ auditing, and knowledge management, will be an advantage Candidate shoul \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess a curious, inquiring mind with desire to make improvements \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess strong planning and organisational abilities and be able to multi-task effectively \xe2\x80\xa2 Have good analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Be able to work independently and in a team to achieve results, even in situations of high pressure and ambiguity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Be committed, self-motivated and resilient \xe2\x80\xa2 Be resourceful to tap on opportunities and seek avenues to implement action plans \xe2\x80\xa2 Have good stakeholder engagement ability \xe2\x80\xa2 Be passionate in learning and self-improvement Serving Public Officers: Serving public service officers with the relevant experience or a keen interest may also apply to join AGO.
