This position is for Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (OPGPP)
Plan and execute postgraduate professional development workshops, inclusive of the execution of documentation requirements, supervision of student assistants, resource planning, and coordination of timely communication with instructors, students, graduate programme offices and other support units or stakeholders pertaining to the fulfilment of this graduation requirement.
Support various aspects of the SMU Masters orientation events, inclusive of the delivery of timely updates in relevant student platforms and the preparation of other pre/post-event communications with students, schools and other departments; assist to oversee the planning of other onboarding student activities with internal and external partners if required.
Assist to manage and enhance the postgraduate student experience through the postgraduate weeks or other student events to ensure the achievement of objectives, including submission of updates for the SMU Student Development Framework, and to identify collaborative opportunities with schools, departments or student clubs to expand our outreach and networking opportunities for the Masters students.
Support the facilitation of open/shared courses across the portfolio of Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (OPGPP) in close collaboration with all Schools, and the administration of overseas study missions that are managed by the team.
Track and manage part of various SMU Masters scholarship processes and engagement activities with the scholarship recipients.
Assist in the coordination and updates of PG curriculum and administrative matters, inclusive of other relevant reports or projects when required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree, with at least 6 years of relevant work experience.
Prior experience in educational or community engagement settings inclusive of event management would be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and technology and/or social media-savvy.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the adaptability to work independently and across diverse teams.
Strong communication (verbal and spoken), collaborative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Willing to work extended hours for evening events and on some weekends for student workshops and activities when required.
