Job Description




Develop the community care sector (home care and centre-based and residential care) by identifying service gaps and new opportunities, enhancing existing service models, and developing new service models to provide more and better care options to support seniors to age well.

Support the development of the palliative care sector in Singapore:

  • Work with policymakers, community stakeholders, including service providers and hospitals, to drive the implementation of national strategies as formulated by the National Strategy for Palliative Care (NSPC) Review Workgroup
  • Develop and implement pilot programmes, service models and funding policies to:
  • Develop the capability to provide general palliative care in the community care sector
  • Support end-of-life clients and their caregivers
  • This includes developing proposals, securing funding and managing the pilot programmes/services with a view to mainstreaming them.
  • Conduct impact and outcome evaluation of pilot programmes and services. This includes conducting research and data analysis.
  • Undertake other tasks as necessary to contribute to Division\'s objectives in sector development, capability building and outreach.
Job Requirements
  • At least 5 to 8 years of working experience in service planning and development, with at least 1 year in managerial capacity in a leadership role, preferably in the healthcare or social care industry
  • Experience in policy formulation, planning, strategy development, sector development or project management in the public sector would be advantageous
  • Strong at conceptualising ideas, coupled with a practical sense of what works in a complex environment
  • Possess strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a good eye for detail and strong follow-up skills
  • Possess strong organizations skills and effective project management skills in managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong ability to handle ambiguity and high work pressure in a fast pace work environment
  • Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in handling diverse situations and managing individual differences
