[What the role is]

The Singapore Tourism Board\xe2\x80\x99s (STB) Communications Division resides within the Marketing Group. The team supports STB in the area of public relations, media engagement and marketing campaigns to drive corporate and destination messaging and safeguards STB\xe2\x80\x99s corporate identity and reputation. As a Strategic Communications Officer, you will be responsible for shaping STB\'s corporate identity and keeping international and local travel trade informed of STB\xe2\x80\x99s latest developments, through a variety of communications channels and strategies.

[What you will be working on]

Main responsibilities:

Corporate Marketing and Communications Plans

  • Work closely with agencies and internal stakeholders to plan, develop and implement integrated corporate marketing and communications plans.
  • Campaign results monitoring and analysis.
  • Oversee the planning and production of STB\xe2\x80\x99s Annual Report.
  • Support Crisis Communications matters such as developing processes and communication plans to manage issues and crises, monitor, anticipate and advise on potential issues, conducting training for STB regional offices etc.
Industry Engagement and Corporate Events
  • Plan and organise Singapore Tourism Awards, a prestigious tourism sector wide award to recognise and celebrate individuals and organisations that deliver exceptional experiences and achieve enterprise excellence.
  • Support the organising and execution of corporate events such as the annual Tourism Industry Conference.
  • You will be expected to form and maintain good relationships with fellow STB colleagues at HQ and regional offices at all levels; appointed agencies and vendors for marketing, PR, corporate events and research; and communications officers of other government agencies.
[What we are looking for]
  • Able to effectively plan, develop and execute integrated corporate marketing and communications plans to engage target audiences, with skills in digital/social media, content, PR and campaign planning.
  • Experience in developing and executing corporate and strategic communications plans to effectively drive the board\xe2\x80\x99s strategic messages through various channels and platforms such as through social media, media channels, PR plans etc.
  • Experience in events management
  • Strong team player and collaborative with good interpersonal skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong project management and organisational skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure within tight timelines
  • Meticulous eye for detail and processes
  • A strong command of the English language
  • Good writing, communication and presentation skills
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in relevant fields
