Job Description


What the role is:As a Manager/Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager (Communications and Engagement Division) with the Secretariat of healthcare Professional Boards, you will provide communications support to 7 healthcare Professional Boards and 4 Specialists and Accreditation Boards. You will assist the Head (Communications and Engagement) in developing effective communications and engagement strategies to support the functions of the Professionals Boards. Specifically, you will be responsible in the following areas: Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage and respond to feedback enquiries from members of the public and registered professionals from the Professional Boards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement media relations strategies including responding to media queries for the Professional Boards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with line divisions to develop key messages to communicate policies to stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan and organise Pledge Ceremonies for Singapore Medical Council, Singapore Dental Council, Singapore Pharmacy Council and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage and co-ordinate the production of publications which include annual reports and newsletters. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review and manage regular Corporate updates and FAQs on the Professional Boards\' websites. \xe2\x80\xa2 Co-ordinate appointments of Council/Board members including managing the elections of Singapore Medical Council and Singapore Dental Council. \xe2\x80\xa2 Co-ordinate and manage requests from overseas jurisdictions including hosting overseas visitors. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute actively as a team member in assigned workgroups in Secretariat of healthcare Professional Boards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other communications and engagement-related duties as assigned.What you will be working on:As a Manager/Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager (Communications and Engagement Division) with the Secretariat of healthcare Professional Boards, you will provide communications support to 7 healthcare Professional Boards and 4 Specialists and Accreditation Boards.   • Tertiary qualifications with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in Corporate Communications, Media Relations and Stakeholder Engagement in the public sector or in a fast-paced environment (agency experience is preferred) \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess strong written and oral communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Must possess excellent organisational and planning skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Has superior project management and time management skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management \xe2\x80\xa2 Results oriented, people focused and a strong team player \xe2\x80\xa2 Resourceful, innovative, meticulous, analytical and self-driven personality capable of making sound judgments independently
