PURPOSE AND SCOPE
To lead commercial and financial evaluation, including but not limited to end-to-end due diligence and financial modelling, to support the various projects undertaken by Singapore and Southeast Asia market on renewable and low carbon energy transactions. The position will be part of the Commercial team for Singapore and Southeast Asia Market, and will play a key middle management role in the financial analysis of business opportunities and strategies, covering both greenfield developments and brownfield acquisitions (M&A).
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To lead the development and overall ownership of financial model for greenfield and brownfield (M&A) transactions covering renewable and low carbon energy transactions from scratch.
2. To lead the team in performing commercial viability, bankability and valuation analysis.
3. To spearhead market analysis to support commercial or financial valuation analysis and end-to-end detailed due diligence.
4. To assist Vice President, Commercial in running the bank sounding process to put together limited/non-recourse project financing to support the various financing activities in relation to the greenfield and brownfield (M&A) transactions.
5. Lead detailed due diligence, market research, sector analysis and project documentation of strategic transactions.
6. Provide execution support on financial analysis of commercial/financial deal structures, documentation assistance and development, financial risk analysis when relevant and post financial close monitoring.
7. To lead the preparation of gate approval papers for engaging internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
2. At least 10 years of financial modelling experience in Project/Structured or Acquisition Finance, Credit Analysis, Transaction Advisory or Corporate Banking, particularly in utility sectors.
3. Candidates with relevant industry experience preferred.
