What the role is:You will be responsible for developing and implementing policy to make workplaces more progressive, uplift lower-wage workers, support the employment of older workers and drive the adoption of work-life harmony practices by employers. You will achieve this by appropriately utilising a diverse range of tools, including legislative levers, tripartite guidelines, standards and advisories, and grants to drive the development of inclusive workplaces and employment practices.What you will be working on:In particular, you will be part of a team that will use data-driven analysis and insights, to develop robust and sustainable policy solutions, monitor outcomes, and derive further insights to iterate and improve policies. You may also be required to study international best practices, monitor ground sentiments, engage citizens and stakeholders, and design schemes and work with partners to implement them.What we are looking for:Competencies / background \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualifications in any discipline \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the public sector and/or in a public policy role \xe2\x80\xa2 Good writing and analytical skills are essential \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to use data-visualisation (e.g. tableau) software is preferred, otherwise willingness to learn is a must \xe2\x80\xa2 Keen interest in labour policy issues \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to articulate views clearly and persuasively \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to effectively build networks and engage stakeholders at different levels \xe2\x80\xa2 PWDs are welcome to applyAbout Ministry of Manpower:The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) aims to develop a productive workforce and progressive workplaces, for Singaporeans to have better jobs and a secure retirement.
