In this role, you will recognize the significance of fostering partnerships and the essentiality of cultivating relationships to involve and educate the community, fostering greater appreciation and comprehension of Indian heritage and culture in Singapore. This position offers an active contribution to the development of the cultural and heritage landscape of the Singaporean Indian identity.
The Indian Heritage Centre is a young heritage institution launched in 2015 that traces the history of the Indian and South Asian communities in the Southeast Asian region. The centre has a busy year-round calendar of exhibitions, programmes and activities, contributing actively to the community. Through such activities, it seeks to promote greater public awareness and appreciation of Indian heritage, arts and culture. It is housed in an iconic and unique building right in the heart of Little India and serves as a springboard for visitors to explore the sights, sounds and scents of the historical precinct.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Partnership, Development, and Marketing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships, driving development initiatives, and implementing innovative marketing strategies to enhance the museum\'s visibility and impact.[What you will be working on]Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to collaborate with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and government agencies to support the museum\'s mission and programs.Identify and pursue funding opportunities, grants, and sponsorships to sustain and expand the museum\'s initiatives and projects.Lead the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote exhibitions, events, and educational programs, leveraging both traditional and digital channels.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, donors, and sponsors to ensure ongoing support and engagement with the museum.Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling content and materials that effectively communicate the museum\'s value proposition and impact.Monitor and analyze marketing and partnership performance metrics to optimize strategies and achieve measurable results.Collaborate with other departments within IHC including education, outreach, curatorial and marketing to further the awareness and appreciation of IHC\xe2\x80\x99s narrativeActively identify, develop relations and partnerships with stakeholders through co-created programmes, initiatives, and other forms of engagement.Other areas include:Supervise interns, junior, temporary and/or outsourced staff who support the IHC teamAssist in other duties as assigned by the General Manager, IHC[What we are looking for]Background in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.Preferably with at least 5 years of proven track record of successfully developing and managing partnerships, securing funding, and implementing marketing initiatives in the cultural or non-profit sector.Strong understanding of branding, audience engagement, and digital marketing trends.Ability to be hands-on in developing digital content and marketing campaigns.Passion and interest in local and Indian history, culture and heritage as well as the museum sectorCreative, innovative and very resourceful, willing to experiment in uncharted territoryExcellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skillsAble to work independently, yet be a good team playerDemonstrate initiative and drive, willingness to take on additional duties when requiredStrong organisational and project management skills, with the versatility to adapt to changing needs of projectsAble to work outside of regular office hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidaysAll applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
