Introduction
IBM Expert Labs is the professional services division of IBM software group.
In IBM Expert labs a software consultant works to understand the needs of our customer and then create high-quality solutions that have meaningful impact. Using IBM software, you will be responsible for requirement gathering, design, implementation, configuration, build, and testing of IBM software solutions that solve Customer’s business problems.

As an Expert Lab Consultant, you will use your technical expertise and previous consulting experience to shape solutions and ensure delivery success. You will work closely with sales and customers to design high-value solutions, establishing long-lasting, trusting relationships that grow Expert Labs.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Be a technical authority in IBM software and ensure customer delivery projects are a success
• To convert business requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the customer’s solution
• To support project management and stakeholders in successfully executing design, development, and deployment tasks on project engagements
• Help set and manage clients’ expectations to ensure that all customers are delighted with Expert Labs and successful with IBM software
• Keep technical skills and industry knowledge up to date with the latest developments and customer trends
• Support IBM sellers in identifying, scoping, estimating, and creating solution proposals for customers
• Constantly look to generate new business, identifying opportunities in existing accounts.
• Have the right attitude to face any challenge and difficulty
• Open-minded and constantly sharpen and update yourself with the latest IBM software technology and progress in the industry
• Be an active member of the community and contribute articles, demos, lessons learned, and best practices
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills through professional preparation and presentation in all dealings with colleagues and customers

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Minimum of 3 years working directly with, or in support of Cloud technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Demonstrated proficiency of DevData Ops principles. Hands-on experience required.
• Experience with data pipeline, ETL, data warehouse/data lake solutions
• Demonstrated ability in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Practical experience migrating applications, services and/or servers from on-premises/data centers to the cloud.
• Experience with configuration management and automation (Terraform, DSC, Ansible, etc.)
• 3+ years experience working with automation tools ( Github, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Ansible)
• 3+ experience implementing pipelines for CI/CD, based on principles of DevOps in any of the DevOps platforms in Azure and/or AWS and/or Google.
• +1 year Linux System Administration
• Demonstrated ability to lead customer discussions and articulate the alignment of technology and business objectives
• One or more Cloud certifications (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS) associated with Data Services o equivalent experience
• Demonstrated analytical/troubleshooting skills and drive to solve problems

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Knowledge of Cloud Pak for Data
• Knowledgeable of benefits and constraints of containers vs non-containerised deployments
• Knowledgeable of benefits and constraints of Cloud vs on-prem deployments
• Or similar skills set as above
