Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Managing Counsel with expertise in privacy and data protection. As the Managing Counsel - Privacy, you will be responsible for ensuring Klook\'s compliance with global privacy regulations and protecting our customers\' data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (business, R&D, etc.) to navigate complex privacy issues and maintain our commitment to data privacy and security.

What you\'ll do:

Daily Operations:

Participate in or independently handle daily privacy compliance tasks, such as responding to data subject rights requests.

Provide guidance and answer inquiries from business, R&D, and other teams regarding data privacy compliance.

Incident Response:

Manage and respond to unexpected data privacy incidents.

Collaborate with security, regional lead counsels, external advisers, and regulatory authorities when required.

Project Support:

Collaborate with business and R&D teams to provide expert support for projects, ensuring data privacy compliance.

Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) or other assessments when necessary.

Project Management:

Contribute to the development of company-wide privacy compliance strategies.

Collaborate with business and security departments to drive data privacy compliance initiatives, including data mapping and internal policy enhancement.

Legal Monitoring and Analysis:

Monitor and analyze data privacy legislation and enforcement globally.

Drive internal actions as necessary to ensure compliance.

Regular Privacy Compliance Training:

Conduct regular privacy compliance training for business, R&D, executives, and other relevant stakeholders.

What you\'ll need:

Legal Experience:

2-5 years of work experience.

1-2 years of experience in data privacy compliance-related roles.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Working understanding of privacy law principles, including the European Union\'s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other privacy laws.

Preference for candidates with experience in GDPR compliance projects.

Language Skills:

Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with the ability to use them as working languages.

Communication and Coordination Skills:

Strong communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Certifications:

CIPP is preferred but not necessary.
