About the opportunityWe are now searching for an exceptionally motivated and driven leader to join our growing team in Singapore as the Managing Director (MD). If you have demonstrated experience in building and scaling businesses, and are looking for a place where you can gain hands-on experience and create significant impact, we would like to hear from you!Responsibilities:Overall accountability for the P/L and all operational aspects of foodpanda\'s business in Singapore.Develop and implement high level country strategy, with the goal of being the best food delivery marketplace in SingaporeAllocate budget and optimise resources efficiently across all business verticals to meet ambitious growth and profitability targetsBuild and lead a team of highly talented senior executives, and guide/motivate them to supercharge business performanceCollaborate with foodpanda Regional Management around strategic goals and country level policies to maximise return on investment.Serve as the chief brand ambassador in Singapore, leveraging multiple channels to sell our story, and building foodpanda into a trusted and winning brandAggressively drive vendor growth whilst developing and maintaining relationships with key partnersCare for an amazing team of best-in-class delivery riders, ensuring that our rider program is constantly improvingEnsure compliance with local regulations, regularly engage and maintain good working relationship with government and regulatory authoritiesWhat you need to be successfulBachelor Degree in Business or equivalent qualificationAt least 10 years of experience at the company decision-making level, including P/L accountabilityBackground in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments, experience in management consulting is a plusExperience leading and scaling organisations of 100+ staff, working in a Global or Regional organization and collaborate efficiently with various stakeholders across functionsOutstanding achievements in business performance, driving profitability and growth, and inspiring large teams.Strong customer focus and influencing skills, with the ability and finesse to balance conflicting objectives and manage crises.Assertive, energetic, and highly motivated with excellent communication skillsFluency in English (our corporate language)Who we are\xe2\x80\x9cTo be the most loved everyday food and groceries destination!\xe2\x80\x9d - that\'s our mission at foodpanda (small \'f\').foodpanda is the largest food and grocery delivery platform in Asia, outside of China.
