Role Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product transfer to Singapore.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain (GSC) to support value engineering activities like product cost reduction, quality improvement and alternate supplier qualification.
  • Participate in design review and provide Design For Manufacturing (DFM) feedback to R&D for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Quality to Improve product quality by performing failure analysis and design change recommendation.
  • Support NPI by participating in engineering build.
  • Support Product transfer by ensuring the manufacturing process, BOM, drawings and fixture are setup accurately and ready before the required check point date.
  • Provide product failure analysis support to help manufacturing meet and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and minimize manufacturing tester down time to meet production fill rate.
  • Work with GSC to qualify alternate component to mitigate End of Life (EOL) issue and qualify alternate supplier to mitigate part supply issue.
  • Plan and execute validation activities for NPI and product transfer to local manufacturing operation.
  • Support Global Repair Center (GRC) to provide accurate diagnostic call.
  • Provide technical support for test fixture located at vendor site to ensure incoming parts fill rate are maintained to meet manufacturing requirement.
  • Maintain and ensure systems and procedures are in compliance with ISO and Regulatory requirements.
Role Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) or equivalent with minimum 5 years manufacturing/product engineering experience in fast moving manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management experience with good analytical, leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Able to communicate with all levels, cross functional and cross cultural.
  • Understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14971 and 21CFR Part 820 requirements
  • Understanding of Life Science / Biotech manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
