Manufacturing Technician (Machinist) \xe2\x80\x93 Permanent Shift

This manufacturing facility which started in 2016 operates two manufacturing lines delivering key components for the GTF engines. We use adaptive machining and cutting-edge automated inspection systems and the advanced manufacturing tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate on CNC 3 or 5 axis machines.
• Perform manual deburring, blending and general inspection
• Perform basic troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and follow established procedures and work instructions.
• Able to interpret basic blueprint if required.

• Perform risk assessment and take corrective actions as well as preventive measures.
• Maintain day to day 6S Lean activities to create a safe work environment.
• Work cross functional to support the various manufacturing processes.
• Participate in the EH&S programs and takes personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
• Comply with the Code of Ethics and International Trade Compliance.
• Support the continuous improvement programs, CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities and additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma, Higher NITEC or NITEC in Precision/ Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in operate CNC or Conventional machining, manual deburring /blending and general inspection skills and knowledge.
• Comfortable with hands-on work to operate with the tools and equipment.
• Willing to permanent Shift and overtime on need basis.
• Relevant experience in shot peening, CMM or Manual deburring/blending is a plus.
• Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience is a plus.
