Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, calibrate and fine tune a variety of delicate and precision electronics & mechanical assemblies for Agilent analytical instrument - ICP/MS.
  • Repair and troubleshoot the sub-assembly components under precision mechanical engineering and ultra-sensitive electronics technology.
  • Routine checks, preventative maintenance, and setup of equipment.
  • Performs product packaging (such as applying fastenings or ties) and assembly operations as per work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.
  • Final product inspection, quality check and labelling.
  • Meet goals set in quality, output and yield of the operation.
  • Inventory control and stock taking.
  • May be required to move packed products.
  • May complete documentation for distribution and/or enter data into or access information in enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Highlight problems or deviations to the supervisor.
  • Provides manufacturing support to the Engineering team to develop and improve test methodology, improve cycle time and yield of instruments through value stream mapping.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe (5S) workplace.
  • Constantly strives for Continuous Improvement to ensure the product meets customers' expectations in Performance, Quality and Reliability.


  • Specialized training/certificate or Nitec or Diploma equivalent education in an Engineering field preferred.
  • 3+ years’ related work experience as an operator / technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience / expertise in soldering would be a plus.
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP system would be an added advantage.
  • Good manual dexterity with passion and good understanding of technical / engineering theories.
  • Able to concentrate while doing repetitive packaging tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Requires attention to detail, efficiency, and care to handle delicate parts.
  • Self-motivated independent worker who also works well in a team.
  • Adaptable with willingness to learn.
  • Work requires moderate physical exertion – may need to carry up to 20kg object.
