Responsibilities: You will be responsible for technical support in one or more manufacturing areas/processes (chemical, electronic or mechanical) to ensure the final quality and performance of Agilent’s products.

  • Perform build or assemble, pump down, commissioning, calibration, testing, troubleshoot, and repair for mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic components and systems of the product (scientific analytical instruments).
  • Diagnose, repair, and recommend root cause corrective action for defective and non-conforming materials, components, parts, or sub-assemblies.
  • Disassemble, reassemble, and change parts with precision and care, using a variety of hand tools.
  • Conducts technical tests, experiments, analysis, and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products, or processes/systems of newly developed products to ensure operation and reliability.
  • Maintain, repair, or install workstation production equipment.
  • Works from guidelines and procedures/instructions.
  • Constantly strive for Continuous Improvement.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe (5S) workplace.


  • Higher education or specialized training/certification, or Higher Nitec / Nitec or Diploma equivalent education in Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Precision, or any other related Engineering fields.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technician/operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience working on manufacturing/servicing of analytical instruments/mass spectrometers would be an added advantage.
  • Experience / expertise in soldering would be a plus.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment to assemble and align precision parts - requires a high level of manual dexterity.
  • Strong engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in English (Spoken and Written).
  • Hands-on person with passion in overcoming tough engineering challenges.
  • Self-motivated independent worker who exhibits great teamwork.
