Job Description
:
- Manage / Supervise and provide support to the Marine Cargo Superintendents
- Oversee Stowage Plan preparations and coordinating of vessel operations with all concerned parties.
- Work closely with port agents and stevedores with regards to safe cargo loading/unloading operations.
- Supervises and acts as the point of contact for stevedore for local cargo operations and prepare operation reports to Headquarter
- Train subordinates and also marine staff in regional offices
- Conduct investigation and prepare incident/accident detailed report and send it to HQ.
- Ensure and monitor vessel operations are effectively executed in compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s safety policies and procedures.
- Review weather/sea conditions and propose safe navigational routes for vessels
- Associate Degree and above preferably in Nautical Studies
- Physically fit
- Committed and responsible in meeting datelines
- Able to work irregular hours, weekend and public holidays
- Knowledge of advanced cargo operations advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Pro-active, interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to travel to overseas ports within a short notice
