Your role Our major Oil & Energy Client is looking for Maritime Security Inspector who will be responsible for vetting and screening of armed and unarmed Client-managed vessels as well as those vessels that are engaged on time and voyage charter business to the Client group. These inspections will be mostly virtual with a small number of physical visits. You will conduct security inspections to all designated vessels that are Client business which also include briefing the Master on relevant maritime security threats/ risk updates and conducting physical inspections or review of photographs and security management reviews onboard vessels when required. You must be able to board vessels at locations around the region whilst they are in transit. Although this will usually mean boarding at the Outer Port Limits, you may also be required to sail with a vessel for longer period of time (up to 5 days). You may be required to support other locations around the world as and when required (e.g. to locations around the Indian Ocean or Gulf of Guinea (West-Africa)) Principal Tasks (but not limited to):

• Inspect charter vessels engaged on Client\'s group business and ensure full compliance with Industry BMP/Client\'s Group Maritime Security Standards
• Deliver a comprehensive brief to the Master on all latest piracy updates for the region, review routes with respect to the maritime threats in the vicinity.
• Provide recommendations with regard to the compliance of a vessel within the approval process criteria and its suitability to proceed (or not) on transit through the Client\'s Maritime Security Zone (MSZ)
• Submit an Inspection Checklist (written report) after each vessel inspection in order to support the recommendations and approval process
• Support the Maritime Security Review programme as and when required

Inspections shall be conducted on during working hours, but occasionally outside working hour virtually or in/from ports in South-East Asia region, Far East (China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan) and any other suitable secure location when tasked and may include spending several days at sea with any given vessel When not \xe2\x80\x9con station\xe2\x80\x9d (i.e. not on leave) GMSAT Inspectors may also be tasked to provide general support to the APAC Assessor or Advisor Working hours: 12 hours a day. Normal working 8-5 with occasional out of hours evenings and weekends when required. Work Location: Singapore with occasional travel to S.E.A. countries and any other secured locations within South China Sea and may include several days at sea with any given vessel. Annual travel to London You are what we are looking for if you:

• Have ship boarding/inspection experience and have military experience preferably
• Understand the maritime security domain and relevant threats, risk and mitigations
• Possess good knowledge of (preferably be experienced with) semi-automatic weapons and ammunition
• Are able to articulate clearly to Masters of many nationalities with varying standards of English
• Are proficient in the use of MS Teams and modern IT software
• Possess good health and general fitness (e.g. able to climb on board very large vessels)
• Are able to travel worldwide and at short notice
• Are fully vaccinated for all regions in which they work
• Are comfortable to work with armed personal close protection teams
• Are authoritative, able to stand their ground and able to work under (time) pressure
• Are able to speak Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean preferably

Salary: $7,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month Experience:

• ship boarding/maritime inspection (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
