Job Description

With knowledge of Singapore markets, the candidate will support the retail and institutional sales business by speaking and presenting at investment conferences/seminars/events, write for regional technical analysis report "Trendspotter" and provide training to interna/ external clients on trading/investment portfolio strategies. The person is also expected to contribute Retail content for public and customer engagement via social media.Key Responsibility

• Monitor capital flows and identify global macro drivers of financial markets.
• Perform quantitative research on major asset classses with a focus on factor style modeling of equities using both fundamental and technical inputs.
• Research and contribute daily trading ideas (Singapore market in particular) via the regional publication of "Trendspotter". Having good knowledge in US market is a plus.
• Drives P&L growth of the retail sales business by conducting platform/product training, advising internal/external clients on tehnical analysis and systematic investment/trading strategies based on market conditions.
• Engage internal/external clients and strategise on actionable ideas from a technical/quantitaive perspective across all communication medium.
• Proactively contribute to the social media content (e.g. Facebook, Youtube)
• Contribute and support (writing/speaking/training) any business units that requires inputs on technical/quantitative analysis on the financial markets.
• Support institutional clients on bespoke research upon request by HOD
• Act as spokesman for CGS-CIMB Research by speaking at seminars and giving public interviews to the mass media channels.

Requirement

• Bachelor in Business (Economics & Finance)
• CMT (Chartered Market Technician)
• Licensed research analyst
• 3 to 5 years of experience

Competencies/SkillsTechnical/Functional skills

• In-depth knowledge of Singapore equity market. Good knowledge in US equity market is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of technical analysis and portfolio management.
• Knowledge of global financial markets, economics, asset classes and securities.
• Knowledge of CGS-CIMB's products and services (cash equities, margin trading, Forex, CFDs, futures & options)

Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership])

• Strong presentation and influencing skills, required for speaking to the mass media, members of the public and clients.
