Job Description


LOVE, NILS is a Singapore-registered IPC charity. Our mission is to provide support to children with cancer and their caregivers to enable them to thrive. We help support these children and their families with much-needed healthcare guidance, emotional care, plus social and community support as they navigate the trauma of childhood cancer.

The Marketing & Comms Director reports to the Executive Director and serves as a senior management team member. The Marketing & Comms Director is responsible for the overall marketing and communication strategy and ensuring successful engagements with stakeholders to further the vision and mission of LOVE, NILS.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual communications plan
  • Drive strategic messaging across different audiences and ensure brand consistency
  • Lead the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action. Decide who, where, and when to disseminate
  • Put communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities
  • Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, annual report, social media channels, LOVE, NILS’ website
  • Manage the creation, expansion and organization of LOVE, NILS’ marketing assets
  • Track and measure the level of engagement within the network over time
  • Plan, execute and manage marketing & comms activities including press coverage, speaking engagements, outreach campaigns, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising team to support the writing of funding and grant applications
  • Build relationships with media, volunteers, donors, influencers, funders; manage all media contacts
  • Develop and manage short and long-term budgets for Marketing & Comms
  • Ensure effective management within the Marketing & Comms department
  • Mentor, train, supervise and develop the Marketing team (both paid and volunteer)
  • Ensure that the organization’s philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practised throughout the organization

  • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of stakeholders from the public and private sectors
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in organizational settings
  • Outstanding communication, writing and interpersonal skills; superb storyteller

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing or communications
  • Experience with content creation and knowledge of engagement strategies through various platforms
  • In-depth understanding of strategic marketing, planning. and implementation
