About the Role

  • Be part of an end-to-end financial control function from understanding of financial markets to trade booking in the ledger
  • Report to Senior Manager - MTFC Rates & Credit
Role Location: Singapore
Role Type: Full Time, Permanent

As a M&T Rates & Credit Specialist you will ensure completion of robust and accurate reconciliation preparation and review in place for all balances and accounts under ownership and demonstrate accuracy and completeness of Balance Sheet & PnL (Profit & Loss) which is business relevant. You will provide in-depth analysis, bring in new perspectives and help to shape business strategy and commercial decision.

Your areas or responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Assist with integrity of Linear Rates & Credit Trading, P&L & Balance Sheet, P&L attribution and completion of valuation adjustments
  • Assist with thorough and complete analytical review and sign-off is completed both daily & monthly for entire financial result for credit trading
  • Assist with understanding Linear Rates & Credit Trading, P&L & Balance Sheet, P&L attribution
  • Drive finance business process changes
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other enablement functions to support effective execution of business deliverables
  • Ensure various stakeholders are timely and adequately informed of financials as well as issues
  • Work closely with Front Office to ensure smooth financial management on a timely basis
  • Ensure the Linear Rates & Credit Trading process is aligned with Banks\' policy and procedures.
  • Work with BPPI to eliminate, standardize, automate and re-allocate activities to achieve efficiency
  • Keep abreast of market best practice and continuously improving existing processes
About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Tertiary qualification preferred in related area (mathematics, financial mathematics, finance etc).
  • Proven experience in Finance roles, preferably with trading and/or risk background Strong technical knowledge around valuation models across Linear Rates and/or Credit
  • Understanding of PnL attribution and risk dynamics understanding
  • Strong IT and system skills
  • Continuous Improvement Focus - ability and enthusiasm to work independently and self-improve
  • Strong communication skills
