Job Description

LearnSphere Academy is seeking passionate and capable Mathematics Olympiad Instructors to support school-based enrichment programmes at primary and secondary levels in 2026 and beyond.

We are looking for instructors who are confident in teaching higher-order problem solving, either at upper primary, secondary, or both levels.

Role Scope



Depending on experience and expertise, instructors may be deployed to:

Primary Maths Olympiad programmes (P4-P6) Secondary Maths Olympiad / advanced mathematics programmes Small-group enrichment or school-based programmes
Programmes are conducted

in-person at MOE schools

. Online teaching opportunities may also be available.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct engaging Maths Olympiad / advanced problem-solving lessons Guide students through non-routine, multi-step problems Facilitate discussion, reasoning, and explanation of solutions Prepare or adapt enrichment materials where required Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment

Requirements (Please Read Carefully)



Applicants should meet

at least one

of the following profiles:

1. Primary-Level Focus



Experience teaching

upper primary mathematics

(P4-P6) Familiarity with Maths Olympiad or enrichment-style problem solving Ability to stretch high-ability learners in a mainstream school context Must be MOE registered

2. Secondary-Level Focus



Experience teaching

secondary mathematics

(Sec 1-3) Exposure to Maths Olympiad / competition-style or advanced problem solving Strong mathematical reasoning and explanation skills Must be MOE registered

Qualifications



Diploma or Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or related fields Teaching certification (NIE / MOE / equivalent) is an advantage Minimum

3-5 years of maths olympiad teaching

preferred

Engagement Type



Part-time / Contract-based Weekday afternoons
