Insworld Institute is a secondary school in Singapore teaching local and international students a British curriculum, adapted to suit the needs of the international learner.

We work only with small class sizes (4-12 students), allowing us to focus the needs of each individual student.

Mathematics Pre University Teacher
Pearson Edexcel IAL and IGCSE

Primary Role

• Teach Mathematics at International A-Level (IAL) and IGCSE (O-Level)
• Maintain attendance, achievement and class management records
• Provide regular reports on student performance
• Attend meetings to review performance
• Act as Personal Tutor to students to monitor academic progress and provide advice/guidance as necessary
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Help maintain high levels of student discipline
• Implement strategies to help ensure students achieve the best possible examination results
• Take an active role in promoting the welfare and wellbeing of students at the School
• Take an active role in extra-curricular activities
• Be available to give extra tuition to students who require this assistance
• Undertake any other duties as directed
  

Qualifications and Experience Essential

• A university honours degree in Mathematics
• Enthusiasm to teach and develop pedagogical experience
• Ability to teach small groups, focusing on the needs of each student
  

Desirable

• Familiarity with Pearson Edexcel Mathematics programmes at IAL, IGCSE
• Ability to teach Mathematics at Lower Secondary level
• Ability to teach an additional subject (Economics, Physics)
• Experience of teaching international students using English as the medium of instruction
• This role would be suitable for a recent graduate who is looking to expand their experience of teaching
• On-going training will be given
