The Role Responsibilities
Job Summary The individual is expected to manage at a group wide level

  • Provide leadership, vision and strategy for growing and evolving Deposits and Liquidity Management products and solutions
  • Governance, commercialisation, and P&L oversight for the products in the portfolio
  • Manage and enhance the product platforms in the portfolio to meet current and future needs
  • Growth of CASA deposits, with laser focus on operational and quality deployable balances
  • Ongoing monitoring and optimisation of interest pricing at portfolio level
  • Manage Interest pricing policy and improve the interest pricing infrastructure
  • Responsible to ensure that innovation around products & services are identified, developed and/or enhanced to grow drivers, revenues, and profits, consistent with overall Transaction Banking strategy
  • Provision of forecasts, insights and trends around total and operational balances, interest margins, deposit pricing levels for TBMT and other group stakeholders
  • People leadership for immediate and broader team across product, technology, and operations
  • Thought leadership articles and engagements
Responsibilities Strategy Drive business origination and go to market efforts:
  • Develop vision, strategy and roadmap for the products and solutions, and ensure these are communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Garner required senior management buy-in and pave the way for continued product development investment in accordance with product and digitisation roadmap.
  • Work closely with regional and country teams to grow quality CASA liabilities.
  • Work closely with regional and country teams to commercialise existing deposit, liquidity management.
  • Own new product and solution launches to ensure that they meet defined commercialization and implementation standards.
  • Responsible for creation of value propositions and providing thought leadership pieces including cash and liquidity management guide for corporates.
Business Establish Pricing and Revenue disciplines
  • P&L oversight of the various products in the portfolio
  • Interest pricing policy and ongoing monitoring of interest levels at portfolio and client level
  • Oversight and guidance to regional / country teams regarding profitability of deposit product portfolio.
  • Actively assist and monitor countries in the handling of various interest rate movements
  • Work with Finance and KL Analytics team to ensure relevant stakeholders have the required MIS to drive and measure the business and client performance
  • Roll out the Interest pricing workflow module to countries.
  • Partner with ITO teams in improving / streamlining the process to improve operational efficiency around interest pricing setups.
Processes Product Development
  • Anticipate and identify emerging client needs in the treasury management space, including changes in regulations, tax, competitor landscape, or macro-economic environment
  • Drive new and enhanced deposit and liquidity management solutions from concept to commercialisation (including solution and process design, solution verification, implementation guides, legal documentation, value propositions, marketing collateral etc)
  • Work with group and country teams to improve product delivery and fulfilment to improve client and internal stakeholder experience
  • Strategic Owner for the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Liquidity Management platform \xe2\x80\x93 jointly responsible for change control, system stability and availability
  • Create required infrastructure and solutions for the rapidly emerging real time and 24x7 liquidity management needs
People & Talent

  • Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports. Provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Risk Management
  • Strong partnership with Sales, Operations and Implementation to better manage operational risk
  • Take the initiative regarding regulatory, reputational and ethical matters, taking the initiative for providing proactive advice to clients as identified. Coach and manage the team in these matters and ensure they are adequately trained in and cognisant of regulatory, reputational and ethical risks
  • Embed the Group\xe2\x80\x99s values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among team members.
  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder\xe2\x80\x99s attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate escalation to Regional / Country Banking Heads and Group/governance committees, as appropriate
Governance Establish product governance framework
  • Responsible for the management of the CASA, Liquidity Management, and other related product program guides (PPG).
  • Work with country stakeholders to improve quality of country product addendums
  • Engage with the product, sales partners, relationship managers and client services in the region/ countries to identify client needs and develop products/solutions to address them especially for the large or complex product
  • Work with countries to ensure governance framework is strictly followed and that all relevant parties are operating in compliance with established standards for risk mitigation including agreement negotiation & payments processing
  • Partner with functional teams in improving / streamlining the process and risk management framework for the various covered products
Other governance
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering \xe2\x80\x98effective governance\xe2\x80\x99; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
