Mechanic (production, Mechanical)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Ensures that all operations conform to safety requirements and maintain high safety standards.
Performs machining jobs.
Performs calibration of machining work pieces.
Understands technical drawings.
Complies with all statutory requirements as well as in-house Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) programmes.
Reports all sub-standard conditions, equipments, practices and incompatible work processes.
Reports all injuries, however minor and near misses to their supervisors.
Uses all the required Personal Protective Equipment provided to them.
Participates in all planned HSEQ programmes.
Others associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- NTC-3 or 2 certificate in metal machining
- Minimum three years\' in a similar capacity in a marine industry or any metal machining companies.
- Basic knowledge and skill of all types of machining methods.
- Knowledge of various operations of turning machines.
- Basic knowledge of the shipyard\'s safety rules and regulations.
- Basic knowledge of different types of material
- Basic command of English is a prerequisite.
