We are now hiring a Mechanical Engineers to bolster our R&D Accessories team. More experienced candidates can be considered for a Senior Engineer position.
Responsibilities:
Manage OEM/ ODM/ JDM suppliers/ manufacturers to design, validate and manufacture accessories for hearing aid
Responsible for designing new solutions for Hearing Aid Accessories projects with new technologies and concepts with cross functional team
Apply of various tools (CAD/ DFM / DFMEA/ Tolerance Analysis/ Simulation etc) to Design, Test, Validate and improve existing design for implementation in project
Supervise and follow up on support activities (Trial runs, FA approval, etc) for timely processing of ECRs/ECOs
Responsible for BOM creation, drawing creation and maintenance
Manage and provide product data, such as 3D models, 2D drawings, assembly manuals and work instructions
Identify and resolve complex problems using strong problem-solving skills to handle situations
Perform cost saving activities e.g. redesign/ process optimization
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
At least 1 - 2 full life cycle of mechanical product design and development experience using plastic, sheet metal and/ or rubber parts
Proficiency in performing proof of concept using methodology like prototyping and simulations
Experience working in co-development model with ODM and JDM will be advantageous
Agile for Design & Development Documentation a plus
Knowledge in plastic injection, sheet metal stamping, tooling and surface decoration processes are added bonuses
Knowledge in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software - ProE/ Wildfire/ Creo OR similar will be preferred.
