The Role

We are looking for a

Mechanical Design Engineer

to join our growing team -- someone who thrives on solving complex design challenges and turning ideas into engineered reality. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work within the Design team and report to the Mechanical Design Manager. This is a hybrid work environment with flexible opportunities to work from home. Frequent travel to Malaysia is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo). Develop detailed

3D models, 2D drawings, and technical specifications

for fabrication and assembly. Perform

engineering analyses

(e.g. FEA, thermal calculations) to validate designs. Collaborate cross-functionally with

electrical, software, and manufacturing teams

to integrate mechanical systems. Participate in

design reviews

, prototype development, and product testing. Select appropriate

materials and components

based on functionality, cost, and availability. Maintain

design documentation

, revision control, and Bill of Materials (BOM). Support

production and assembly teams

with technical guidance. Continuously improve design processes for

reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency

. Ensure compliance with

industry standards, safety codes, and client specifications

.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering

, or a related field.

2-5 years of experience

in mechanical or design engineering, preferably within fabrication or industrial projects. Proficiency in

CAD tools

such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks (Revit/BIM knowledge is a plus). Solid understanding of

manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering standards

. Strong

problem-solving, analytical, and project coordination

abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to work

independently and within multidisciplinary teams

.

Proficiency in Mandarin language

(speaking and reading) is a must as this role highly involves working with Mandarin speaking colleagues and clients.
