Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers and designers, providing mentorship, guidance and performance feedback.
Set clear goals, priorities and expectations to ensure alignment with project and organizational objectives.
Oversee multiple projects from planning to execution, including resource allocation and timeline management.
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, assemblies, and fixtures.
Review and approve design concepts, detailed drawings, and technical specifications.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to production.
Oversee design documentation, 3D modeling, detailed drawings, BOM creation, and configuration control
Good knowledge of wide spectrum of material science and engineering.
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains in design and development.
Continuously improve design processes, toolsets, and team capabilities.
Drive design reviews, risk assessments (DFMEA), tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA practices, and root cause investigations.
Performing any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience in Front-End or Back-End Semiconductor Equipment environment or application preferred.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or equivalent).
Deep understanding of materials selection, GD&T, and high-precision manufacturing techniques.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
