Responsibilities: Design and build custom test rigs to support experimental work. Assist in the development of 3D design prototypes. Partnering with Material Scientist for characterization of material properties Contribute to the technology transfer from lab to production environment. Conduct proof of concept experiments for new technologies. Support operations with problem solving. Interfacing with other research institutions for sponsored research. Analyze experimental results to draw conclusions about hypothesis'. Propose, design and conduct design of experiments activities to down select options for process variables. Requirements: BS in Engineering and 8 years relevant experience Background in additive manufacturing processes Ability to effectively communicate experimental results. Strong skills with AutoCAD/Solidworks. Solid experience with Excel, Minitab, MS Teams and PowerPoint. Ability to ask questions and listen to input when communicating with people from a wide variety of disciplines. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
