Job Description

Direct Search Global is working with an international petrochemical company to fill a vacancy for Mechanical Engineer to be based at their chemical plant at Jurong Island.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take charge of proper operation and maintenance of all equipment to the highest standards.
• Responsible for the day-to-day repair and preventive activities in the plant.
• Ensure timely updates of engineering design standards and plant design documents, in both paper and electronic copies. Compile marked-up drawings and maintain up-to-date \xe2\x80\x9cred-lined\xe2\x80\x9d drawings of basic design documents (PID, PFD, Instrument loops sheets, and motor schematics).
• Maintain equipment files and repair records in the plant.
• Upkeep updated departmental procedures and controlled documents.
• \xe2\x80\x9cSuper-user\xe2\x80\x9d of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Provide advice to the Manager for corrective measures to improve efficiency, quality, and economy of operations. Assist in new equipment selection and installation at plant.
• Perform engineering analysis and provide recommendations in problem-solving efforts to ensure that all aspects of problems, including safety and environmental concerns, are addressed.
• Reports to Senior Mechanical Engineer.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance work especially in petrochemical or chemical industries.
• Having a good understanding of petrochemical or chemical equipment is a plus.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.
