Mechanical Engineer - Lithium-Ion Battery Assembly Metal Forming & Sealing Process (Tuas)

Department: Equipment & Process Engineering 2 Report to: Section Head of Assembly Functional Relationships with: Production, Product Design, Procurement, Maintenance

POSITION PROFILE

Based in: Singapore; The successful candidate will be in-charge of and support all equipment and process related activites like designing, assembly, installation, debugging, troubleshooting, evaluation and reporting.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Equipment and tool & jig design, assembly and installation with mechanical adn product specification, followed by test, debug, troubleshooting and hadnover to end user
• Co-ordinate with related departments and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and delivery of work
• Implement design, yield and downtime improvement that meets function and cost requirements
• Lead machine and quality improvement activities such as equipment installation, equpiment downtime recovery and problem solving
• Support production or maintenance group in equipment related trouble analysis with statistical tools and countermeasure implementation
• Support or be in-charge if factory atuomation process & improvement
• Ensure activity compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, specifications and maintan process ISO system

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of CAD, SolidWords and engineering materials
• Able to work well in a team while being independet and pro-active
• Positive attitude in a challenging work environment
• Good technical report writing and presentation skills
• Able to work independently as well as multi-task
