This role is focused on managing the Mechanical Subcontractor field installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.It is expected the candidate will be a very detailed individual with extensive previous experience working as an Mechanical Site Manager or Construction Manager on data center projects. There will be a significant amount of \xe2\x80\x9chands on\xe2\x80\x9d work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field are in compliance with such documents. The candidate must have excellent Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. team, subcontractors of all tiers, vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.Job description:Develop a comprehensive understanding of the (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, mechanical systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule.Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between Mechanical, Electrical and CSA subcontractors during construction.Log and post all mechanical changes and as-built information on field drawings. Provide such information to VDC team so such information can be incorporated into the final virtual model.Direct, monitor and control the activities of the Mechanical Subcontractor.Interface with the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager for all client provided equipment.Liaison with the MEP engineering consultant, supervisory engineers, Inspectors and relevant staffImplement the Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd. cloud based QA/QC program for the mechanical scope of work.Ensure that Mechanical Subcontractors adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records.Assist in the testing and commissioning of mechanical equipmentManage mechanical site supervisors in respective areasQualificationsQualifications:Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the construction industry.Minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in this role managing Mechanical Subcontract packages more than S$20,000,000.Experience building a minimum of 5 ground up data centers.Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or related field.Superior mechanical engineering working knowledge of plans, engineering drawings, specifications and schematics associated with the mechanical trades.Computer literate.
