Job Description

• Position : Mechanical Technician (Steel Manufacturing/Heavy duty machines/Plant Environment) - WORK IN SINGAPORE
• Location : West - Pioneer (Tuas)
• Working hours : 5.5 Days Rotating shift | 7am - 4.30pm (Morning) & 7pm - 4.30am (Night) OR 8am - 5pm (Morning) & 8pm - 5.30pm (Night)
• Salary (commensurate with experience) : OPEN FOR DISCUSSION (BASED ON EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) + AWS + Average of 5 months bonus + OT Pay + Incentives + Shift Allowance (night shift)
• Duration : Permanent

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform corrective/ preventive maintenance on machines/ equipment to ensure proper operation
• Perform mechanical fitting job, machine assembly and maintenance, which requires knowledge of machine fits and tolerances
• Perform preventive maintenance, checking and inspection, troubleshooting, repairs and overhauls of machinery and equipment
• To be able to troubleshoot machine, perform gas cutting and arc welding.
• To read mechanical drawing and monitor spare part/ consumable consumption

Requirements:

• Must possess at least secondary school education/ NITEC
• Must possess good understanding of mechanical systems (eg. hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical conveyors, etc)
• Basic command of English (ability to read, write and speak)
• Past experiences in heavy-duty machines maintenance will be preferred
