You will take on a technical lead role for the InterReality Technologies development team, with the objectives of transforming education and deepening research impact in NUS.

You will be vital in enabling and establishing new evidence-based pedagogies by leveraging on state-of-the-art technologies to enhance the education experiences for in NUS. You will also collaborate and partner with faculties in developing teaching and learning applications that are highly innovative and automated to bring about efficient processes and business savings.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluate, propose and recommend new technologies for development in order to provide IT technical consultancy as a partner/co-investigator

• Provide solutioning consultancy and recommendations for IT solutioning
• Perform IT architecture design for system integration and application development
• Derive and produce technical strategies in implementation to achieve efficient faculty teaching and learning requirements
• Lead and perform a leadership role of application design and development in order to achieve synergy of development in the working team

• Propose solutioning and seek concurrence of design and development specifications
• Devise functional developments and role distribution for development team
• Combine and integrate different functional within development environment
• Plan, manage/mitigate risks and provide direct support for application deployments, achieving smooth delivery of teaching and learning at faculties

• Perform load testing using resources from both campus and home remote access of applications
• Deploy applications with runtime efficiency and error-free operations
• Produce deployment documentation for team and faculty alignment
• Execute management of team development or outsourcing procurement development, ensuring successful and timely completion of development
• Execute IT outsourcing using best practices in order to achieve transparent, fair, strategic and appropriate contract awards to development vendors

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in IT solutioning and architecture design (applications and systems)
• Relevant industry experience with ability to communicate IT and data architecture, to translate and articulate into solution design for IT development
• Ability to leverage on new technologies, design and develop innovative solutions in compliance with enterprise IT policies and security guidelines
• Good understanding of software development life cycle
• Ability to interpret technical requirements to develop robust solutions
• Knowledge and experience in IT systems architecture, cloud computing, data security and virtualization is a plus.
• Passionate about supporting development of IT Systems and Applications and is technically savvy, with an appreciation for new media and technologies
• Knowledge and awareness in domains of emerging technologies are highly regarded
