: Regional Oncology Medical Head, GCI Number of internship positions: 2 Period of Internship Required: January – May/June 2023 Preferred School/Course of Intern: Science JOB PURPOSE: We are looking to provide a learning opportunity for an intern in the delivery of Regional Oncology medical Affairs activities in a dynamic, cross-functional, and multidisciplinary environment. The intern will work under the supervision of Oncology Medical Head and collaborate with Regional Oncology Medical Affairs Leads for execution of Oncology medical affairs strategy and drive patient outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be required to:

  • Assist Oncology Medical Head in identifying the unmet medical needs, treatment pathways, data gaps and stakeholder mapping (EEs/patient organisations) for upcoming indications and pipeline assets of GSK
  • Collaborate with regional medical leads to drive the medical education projects
  • Participate in EE discussions (e.g. Ad Boards, post congress EE touchpoints) and compile the insights into a meeting report.
  • Conduct management monitoring of the regional medical affairs activities
  • Support day to day management tasks of regional medical leads
LEARNING OUTCOMES: You will be able to:
  • Understand the role of Medical Affairs in driving patient outcomes.
  • Work in highly dynamic environment with cross functional collaboration
  • Gain exposure to general scientific and business aspects of Oncology portfolio
  • Interpret customer needs and learn negotiation and influence skills
  • Connect with senior leaders in pharma

  • Educational background – Undergraduate studying life sciences, pharmaceutical science, public health, health sciences, medical background who is interested in learning more Oncology business

  • Meticulous, organized, and dedicated
  • Willing to stretch beyond his/her basic education, i.e., multidisciplinary approach
  • Proficient in computer skills (Office) and technologically adept
