Job Title: Medical DoctorLocation: A client in Singapore (location in West)Department: Geriatrics/Elderly CareReports to: Chief Medical Officer/Head of GeriatricsPosition Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Doctor to join the client in Singapore. The Medical Doctor will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to elderly patients, addressing their complex health needs, and enhancing their quality of life.Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:

• Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions common in elderly patients.
• Conduct thorough medical assessments, including physical examinations and patient histories.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans for elderly patients.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, considering the unique needs of elderly patients.
• Chronic Disease Management:

• Monitor and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and arthritis.
• Coordinate care for patients with multiple comorbidities.
• Educate patients and their families on managing chronic conditions and promoting healthy lifestyles.
• Palliative and End-of-Life Care:

• Provide palliative care and support to patients with life-limiting conditions.
• Discuss and document patients wishes regarding end-of-life care.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Rehabilitation and Functional Support:

• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to enhance patients mobility and independence.
• Develop rehabilitation plans to aid in the recovery and improvement of patients functional abilities.
• Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide clear and compassionate guidance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in family meetings and care conferences to discuss patient progress and care plans.
• Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical medical practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Professional Development:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in geriatric medicine.
• Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities, conferences, and workshops.
• Mentor and supervise junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare staff.

• Education:

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Completed residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geriatrics or a related field
• Skills:

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Certifications:

• Board certification in Geriatrics or a related specialty.
• Valid medical license to practice in Singapore.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

• Full-time position.
• Hospital environment with shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
