The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist is required to perform and interpret diagnostic procedures. He/She is willing to work independently as well as in a team to provide quality laboratory services for our patients. Responsibilities Perform tissue culture of different specimen type including culture initiation, maintenance and harvest. Chromosome preparation and staining for microscopic analysis Chromosomal analysis meeting or exceeding established productivity and quality control standards. Performs Fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) adhering to quality control standards Performs chromosomal microarray (CMA) adhering to quality control guidelines Performs quality control checks to ensure precision and accuracy of tests. Perform troubleshooting and risk management to process Prepares reagents and controls using derived procedures Monitors and maintain laboratory supplies Maintains stringent pre and post PCR containment procedures Performs routine and preventive maintenance of equipment Impart skills and knowledge to colleagues and others Works safely and following laboratory safety, Policy and Procedure requirements at all times Able and willingness to work on weekends including public holidays Additional information Career Level 8-10 years of experience in the field of Cytogenetics or human molecular genetics Qualification Degree in Medical Technology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science with at least 8 years of experience in Cytogenetics or Diploma in Medical Technology/Biotechnology/Biomedical Science with at least 15 years of experience in Cytogenetics.
