About UWCSEA, established in 1971, is Singapore\'s leading international school, with two campuses located at Dover and Tampines.Role SummaryUWCSEA has an exciting opportunity for a MEP and Sustainability Manager to join from January 2025.Reporting to the Director of Campus(es) Development, the primary role of MEP and Sustainability Manager is to be responsible for the operational parameters of design considerations at every stage of the campus development project. They will be ensuring that the planned project is living up to sustainability aspirations through an effective integration of various critical infrastructure utilising technological accelerators for the entire lifecycle of the building.They will be leading, directing, assisting and supporting various members of design and construction teams including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sustainability, fire safety management, architects, quantity surveyors and other trade specialists. They are also expected to work very closely with various resident technical officers and resident engineers to ensure delivery of project milestones is achieved in a time and budget efficient manner. They will be representing the client side by acting as a strong bridge between members of project management consultancy, quantity surveyors, lead architects as well as the main contractor.The ideal candidate is required to provide critical support to the Director of Campus(es) Development and must be able to navigate multi-discipline requirements efficiently and effectively within a dynamic and high pace work environment.Why Join Us? This is a permanent role within an international school, offering a unique chance to contribute to a meaningful and transformative project that will shape the learning environment for generations of students.Main ResponsibilitiesFacilities and Asset Management: Excellent operations and asset management background in the built environment with a specific focus on MEP infrastructure and well integrated systems promoting sustainable designs.MEP Oversight: Support the design, installation, and maintenance of MEP systems for the effective delivery of the overall project. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure MEP systems are integrated effectively into project designs. Conduct regular project inspections to assess MEP systems implementation and performance is in compliance with Singapore and all other agreed standards. Should be able to read, review and validate related drawings and respond to necessary enquiries in a timely manner.BIMS and BMS: Well versed with building management systems and good understanding of building information modelling. Ability to creatively integrate various systems to ensure a single source of truth during the project is designed keeping the asset management and operational cycle of the building in view. Support integrated digital delivery by championing the IDD essential cases defined by Building Construction Authority of Singapore.Sustainability Leadership: Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with college\xe2\x80\x99s goals and industry best practices. Analyse current campuses energy needs and environmental impact assessments to identify opportunities for improvement through design parameters. Lead and oversee all the works necessary for certification such as SLE/WELL/LEED etc. and other sustainability initiatives.Space and System Optimisation: Should be able to analyse and clearly understand the gross floor area distribution around the campus and how various systems e.g. Fire safety, Security are closely linked to energy and space optimization. To propose strategies for overall effective usage of spaces and systems to be designed keeping in view the varied needs of the campus throughout the academic year.Project Management: Closely collaborate and support multi disciplinary teams to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for MEP and sustainability projects. Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, outlining project progress and sustainability metrics. Closely coordinate the related submissions with QP to regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local and national codes.Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution. Share expertise and work hand in hand with consultants on overall MEP design and sustainability practices. Work closely with various campus design labs and foster a culture of sustainability within the organisation by promoting awareness and education.General Support: Must be able to support various procurement packages during scope, evaluation and selection of most suitable partners in line with the related project\xe2\x80\x99s scope and specifications.Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the CollegePerson SpecificationsQualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Certified in Built Environment Green Management

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Built Environment MEP and Sustainability
• Experience in a multicultural, multi-linguistic, and multinational work environment
• Deep understanding of local regulations and ability to navigate between inter-agency protocols
• Proven track record of successfully completing asset lifecycle management and related replacement
• Experienced in managing Super Low energy accreditations
