Metal Recycling Manager (Commercial & Operations)

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced

Metal Recycling Manager

to oversee both the

commercial and operational functions

of our recycling division.


The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the

metal trading market

,

supplier sourcing

, and

yard management operations

.


You will play a key role in

purchasing recyclable materials

, managing

processing activities

, and ensuring

profitability and compliance

with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1?? Sourcing & Procurement Management

Source recyclable metals (ferrous & non-ferrous) from local and overseas suppliers. Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery schedules with vendors. Keep track of

LME market prices

, ensuring buying and selling decisions maximize profit margins. Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.

2?? Yard & Logistics Coordination

Oversee material intake, sorting, and stock movement within the recycling yard. Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to ensure efficient collection and delivery. Monitor

weighbridge operations

and verify weights and grades of incoming and outgoing materials.

3?? Safety & Environmental Compliance

Ensure all operations comply with

NEA and MOM safety standards

. Conduct periodic inspections and ensure

proper waste handling and storage procedures

. Train staff on safety awareness and emergency procedures.

4?? Team Supervision & Leadership

Supervise a team of workers, drivers, and machine operators. Schedule shifts, monitor attendance, and enforce company discipline. Motivate and train team members to maintain high productivity and performance.

5?? Financial & Performance Reporting

Prepare daily and monthly reports on purchases, sales, and inventory levels. Analyze cost, margin, and productivity data to support business decisions. Work closely with management to set and achieve operational targets.

Requirements

Degree in

Business, Engineering, or Environmental Management

. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in metal recycling, trading, or waste management. Strong knowledge of

metal grades, market pricing, and supplier networks

. Able to manage both

commercial sourcing and operational supervision

.

Physically demanding

and able to handle work in industrial and outdoor environments. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Proficient in

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
