Job Description

\xc2\xb7 Duties include working in pre-analytical, analytical, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation, technical validation and inventory management. \xc2\xb7 Operates and maintains sophisticated instruments and equipment used in the laboratory. \xc2\xb7 Able to properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate and shut down the analytical instruments. \xc2\xb7 Perform all procedures in accordance with Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). \xc2\xb7 Processes, analyses, verifies and release results within the expected turnaround time. \xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with all requirements of the Laboratory Safety Manual. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that \xe2\x80\x9ccritical value\xe2\x80\x9d of lab results is reported timely to the relevant appropriate personnel as well as resolve queries from customers as needed. \xc2\xb7 Maintains competence in Laboratory Information System (LIS). \xc2\xb7 Maintains a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. \xc2\xb7 Participates in Quality Improvement Programs and Proficiency Programs essential to ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely and meets customer needs. \xc2\xb7 Escalates lab issues to supervisors or lab management in a timely manner. \xc2\xb7 Any other duties as assigned by Laboratory Manager. Job Requirement \xc2\xb7 Good working attitude and interpersonal skills. \xc2\xb7 Able to work independently as well as in a team. \xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 to 4 years relevant working experience in a clinical laboratory. \xc2\xb7 Diploma/degree in Microbiology is preferred. Work Schedule Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Saturday: 8.30 am to 1.00 pm Schedule subject to changes as and when required. Only those who do not need work passes need apply.
