Overview of the job

GroupM is the world's largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Mindshare | Senior Account Manager to join us.

This role requires a strong background in media, with experience in digital planning and implementation. You will be tasked with supporting a hub in Singapore for our client, strategizing and co-ordinating the overall strategy and activation across the other hubs in the world, working closely with the Global Account Lead. You will be required to leverage and navigate the resources within Mindshare and GroupM, to achieve the best outcome for your clients.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Director, Client Leadership.

Measures of success

In three months:
  • Acquire a solid understanding of client's business challenges and short/mid-term priorities
  • Receive great feedback from co-workers and key client contacts - as a result of a positive, proactive attitude and efficient working style.
  • Have a full understanding of the agency's internal processes and partnerships.
  • Deliver communication and media strategies to drive brand growth.
In six months:
  • Earned the trust and respect of both the team and agency as whole.
  • Become a key advisor for the more junior members of the team.
  • Take ownership of the client campaigns and deliverables.
  • Properly justifying recommendations and post campaign analysis.
  • Recommending ways to optimize and improve ways of working.
In 12 months:
  • Become an integral part of the core team and a valued member of the agency.
  • Achieving clients' satisfaction goals and increasing business and commercial results.
  • Established yourself as lead on managing client engagement, communication and reporting.
Responsibilities of the role:
  • Direct point of contact for key client relationships and campaign related deliverables.
  • Co-ordinate between the other world hubs based on the global requirements set by the client
  • Develop and drive projects/campaigns for assigned brands - this will include the ability to align with clients on new planning approaches/innovation.
  • Understand the client's business, category and market position.
  • Presentation of recommendation to clients, across different platforms.
  • Set viable objectives, KPIs, and recommend/develop measurement methodology.
  • Work with the team on competitive reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure projects/campaigns are tracked and measured based on agreed KPIs and media efficiencies.
  • Facilitate cross team learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and build relationships with clients, be the trusted advisor on account requirements.
  • Work with internal specialist resources and group resources.
What you will need:
  • 4-6 years of account planning and account management experience
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners and internal specialist resources.
  • Competent in media planning and buying, across all platforms with a good understanding and working knowledge of digital media (e.g. programmatic, social and SEM).
  • In-depth of understanding of the industry, business, brands and consumers in client conversations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical and calm under pressure.
