Job descriptionDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. In coordination with the mold designer, he assisted in the designing of new Injection and Extrusion Blow Molds, including making the necessary adjustments in anticipation of possible issues that could arise during the processing of the mold during production.2. Fabricates the new mold, and performs all the machining, measuring, checking, and fitting of parts, to make an efficient and productive mold, free of problems, quality issues, and processing difficulties.3. Maintains all active molds in good working condition, with the assistance of the other machine shop crew members.4. Repairs the mold under Product Audits.5. Operates the conventional machines in the machine/ mold shop.6. Maintains his machine and area, making it clean and the machine in proper running condition.7. Assists ts in the repairs and fabrication of molds, making sure that the work is done properly, accurately, and on time.8. Occasionally asked to render overtime when necessary.9. Alternately, with his other co-workers, to work on Sundays, having his rest day during the week, the specific day as agreed upon with his supervisor.10. Does other miscellaneous duties as directed by his supervisor/ manager.JOB QUALIFICATION1. Graduate of machine shop technology or its equivalent experience.2. At least two years of related experience from a plastic molding manufacturing firm.3. Has a keen analytical mind and is able to make independent decisions.4.
