Scope of Services
The Multimedia & AV Instructor will be responsible for the following:
1. Implementation and Conduct of New Media Literacy Programmes for Students
Assist HOD/SH (ICT) in planning and implementing New Media Literacy workshops.
Conduct workshops supported by the school's Technology for Learning (TFL) committee.
Topics may include photo editing, video editing, and infographic design.
2. Support for School's Applied Learning Programme (ALP) / Student-Initiated Learning
Work with selected student groups to develop prototype applications for ALP projects.
Train and supervise students in the iMaker (maker space) room.
Conduct/support student-initiated ICT/multimedia-related learning.
3. Training for School Staff
Identify training needs and develop customised programmes with relevant materials.
Support ICT integration by advising staff on tools and collaborating with HODs for lesson design.
4. Support for School Events & Multimedia Projects
Manage deployment and use of AV equipment during school events.
Assist teachers with ICT-related events (e.g., Internet Safety Week).
Produce multimedia content (e.g., videos, microsites) for training, publicity, and events.
5. Support for School Audio Visual (AV) Equipment
Work with ICT staff to maintain AV equipment (e.g., projectors, visualisers).
Troubleshoot AV equipment issues for staff.
Train AIMS Club students to operate AV equipment for daily operations and events.
6. Collaboration with ICT Department and Other Projects
Work with ICT Manager, Desktop Engineers, and ICT support staff to ensure smooth programme and event operations.
Undertake any other ICT-related tasks as assigned by HOD/SH (ICT).
Qualifications and Skills
Diploma from a recognised institution, preferably in IT-related disciplines, with at least 3 years of relevant experience (those without a diploma but with relevant expertise may also apply).
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, Android, iOS) and devices (iPads, Chromebooks).
Experience in operating and maintaining AV equipment (e.g., projectors, visualisers).
Proficient in Google Workspace (GSuite) and Microsoft 365 for Education.
Skills in block-based programming.
Ability to prepare video tutorials and instructional guides for applications/equipment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to conduct lessons in English.
Collaborative, able to work effectively with teachers and staff on ICT matters.
