The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, is one of the largest MSE academic institutions in the world. It is the leading MSE institution in Asia and ranks amongst the top globally - #3 in the QS World University Subject Rankings 2022 and #1 in the U.S. News Best Global Universities Subject Ranking 2022. The School regularly wins large competitive grants by championing disruptive and commercialised materials science research that has produced several invested start-up companies.
MSE invites outstanding candidates to apply for the position of Nanyang Assistant Professor (Tenure-track). This position is a joint appointment between the School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) and the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at NTU, Singapore. The candidate should:
- Have a strong track record in academic research relating to advanced materials characterisation.
- Have experience and proven track record in leading a dynamic research team and succeeding in applications for external funding, whether individually or as part of a team.
- Have a strong track record in publishing research articles in top-ranked international peer-reviewed journals and other forms of publication within the research community.
- Have experience collaborating with local/overseas research institutions.
- Have an undergraduate degree and a Ph.D. in related fields.
