• Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
• Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees.
• Familiar with the engine manuals, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method used by MRO
• Develop work instructions from approved documents and general procedures. Such work instructions shall require final approval by a Level 3 certified in the method.
• Possess basic knowledge of relevant product materials and inspection criteria.
• Participating in CORE, EH&S and Quality activities to support P&WC initiatives.
• Work in accordance with accepted safe and environmental practices
• Report unsafe conditions and practices
• Make safety suggestions through RIDII.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline. Diploma will be advantageous
• Possess at least 2 years of experience performing FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)
• Aerospace experience in dealing with aircraft structures, engines and/or components will be advantageous
• Possess a current NDT Level 2 certificate (NAS410, EN4179) in at least MPI (530hrs) or ET (800 hrs) or PT(400 hrs). Must have adequate documented training to substantiate qualification
• Pass a vision exam and a color blindness test
• Willing to work on rotating shifts.
