Senior NetworkAdministrator (WAN, Firewall, Switch and WIFI exp) Job Overview: The Senior Network Administrator will be the hands-on subject matter expert (SME) and business process owner to architect, implement, monitor and maintain all company networks and network equipment. The primary function of this position is to support all network activities related to the intelligence datacentre operations, including global responsibilities and collaboration. The Senior Network Administrator will work with key vendors to enhance the network infrastructure in order to provide customers a secure, high available environment for their server landscapes. The Senior Network Administrator will be configuring and troubleshooting switches, Routers, WIFI and other network related equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, support, upgrades, identification and resolution of network problems and customer requested enhancements
  • Participate in Integrated Testing and User Acceptance of Application or Infrastructure Components
  • Work closely with project teams, vendors and other systems staff to design network / security solutions and process improvements
  • Documentation of processes and or procedures
  • Belongs to an on-call rotation which includes off-hour duties
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience supporting Cisco based networking equipment and the associated protocols, disciplines and concepts including: Switches, Routers, and Firewalls
  • Strong platform experience on Cisco routers,Cisco switches, WatchGuard Firewall, D-Link Wireless solution
  • Ability to diagnose complex network issues and have excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experienced in fast growing, changing environment
  • OSPF, EIGRP, BGP routing protocols and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to configure and troubleshoot VLANs for a multiple tenant environment
  • Understanding VRF and VRF-lite
  • Understanding VPC on Nexus
  • Expert at installing and configuring Cisco IOS devices.
  • VPN's - experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC tunnels.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Provide proactive monitoring and management to address network anomalies and capacity threshold jeopardy
  • Technical leadership and escalation path to network analysts / engineers
  • Enhance the Network Operations strategy evolution and execution
  • Governs network end-user performance, baselining and trending analysis
  • Participate in service provider and vendor meetings for operational review (case reviews, MTTR, continuous improvement etc.)
  • Analyze network performance, availability and utilization reports in collaboration with other Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) departments.
  • Assist in the development and governance of network Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to ensure effectiveness and management of the network environment.
  • Provide technical support stewardship to all aspects of the Anthem data, voice and video network environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, IP addressing, analysis and troubleshooting of networks, Route-redistribution.
  • Configuration and Implementation of IP Routing Protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and MPLS on cisco routers, and LAN switching protocols such as VLAN configuration, STP, VTP and Ether Channel.
  • Hands-on-experience on IP addressing and Advance ping concepts.
  • Experience in implementation and troubleshooting of Routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF& BGP and for very large-scale ISP network.
  • Strong project management, presentation, communication, analytical, customer and computer skills.
  • Implement firewall solutions to properly secure State data and provide consultation on all new firewall implementations, firewall configuration changes, and projects requiring security operational support
  • Recommend best security practices to achieve stated business objectives, advises on risk assumptions for any variances granted, and provides alternatives to achieve desired end results
  • Assist the end-user, other IT professionals, and external customers in requesting security variances and implementation of subsequent configuration change requests
  • Ability to learn and utilize new technologies rapidly, highly organized and dedicated with positive attitude.
  • Troubleshooting EIGRP, OSPF & BGP complex routing issues in a very large-scale ISP network.
  • Monitor Network Alerts and creating the Incidents according to ITIL process within defined SLA.
  • Drive day to day security operations and project activity within the security area
    • Security Operations Center (SOC) oversite
    • Overall oversite of security operations of the outsource provider – examples include firewall and perimeter security, network security, proxy, MFA, remote access, endpoint and server security, IDS/IPS, geo-blocking, patching and vulnerability management, etc
    • ITIL process management and integration/implementation
  • Document, monitor and maintain information security standards, policies and protocol to ensure organizational data and resources, including email and cloud services, are protected from unauthorized and inappropriate use or access.
  • Good knowledge on information security management and governance framework specific to the System (“ISM Framework”). The ISM Framework shall include at least the following:
(a) Security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures for the System (b) Security architecture and design; (c) Security Management Plan and schedule (d) Security management and operation processes. Perform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions.
  • Perform Third-Party Security Program (TSP) review procedures and analyse results to ensure the information security standards and policies are understood and followed by third-party organizations.
  • Perform periodic security audits and test key areas of the organizational network and IT production infrastructure.
  • Able to develop, implement and maintain the security operations plan that is specific to the System, which minimally includes the monitoring (e.g. security bulletins, Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), announcement by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of security vulnerabilities that affect the System, the actions that need to be taken to address the security vulnerabilities, the timeline and the functions responsible for reviewing or testing, authorising and implementing security patches
  • Threat and vulnerability management
  • Ability to understand large scale WAN and to have involved atleast 1 large scale WAN migration
  • CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or similar network-based certifications.
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC , CISSO , CEH or any one of Industrial Standard Security Certifications will be added advantage.
