Job Description

The Network Adminsitrator will support IT infrastructure availability, performance and stability. Responsibilities include configuration and implementation of infrastructure services including but not limited to data center network, campus networking, WAN connectivity, LANs, WLANs, and required operational security. The Network Administrator will be a member of a team of system administrators and engineers to provide support to the business.





Job Responsibilities:


Provide support for current and future enterprise systems Works with the Service Desk team as the initial point of escalation to efficiently resolve incidents, identify and escalate problems and consistently maintain departmental SLAs within acceptable levels Follow Company IT security policies, procedures, best practices and established standards Assist with the optimisation of IT infrastructure implementations, forecasting and maintenance Provide management with ways to improve administration, monitoring, reporting and standard operating procedures Maintain network hardware based on the IT initiatives and required upgrade projects within the organisation Install and test wired and wireless network infrastructure Troubleshoot network systems including any reported routing or switching problems and recommend improvements Maintain router and switch configurations Provide network monitoring services utilizing various network management tools Adhere to Company's IT change control (enablement) process Help develop documentation and diagrams for all network projects that will be used for disaster recovery readiness on an ongoing basis Update current infrastructure equipment to current IOS levels and required Enterprise functionalities Perform router and switch upgrades within the enterprise Help ensure accuracy of the information in DNS and IP databases
Job Requirements:


Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant work experience Minimum one year relevant experience working in a large Enterprise Network environment including a multi-protocol network Basic understanding of ITSM Principles or ITIL4 Foundations certification Must have proficient knowledge of operating systems, network systems and IT architecture Experience Active Directory Group Policy, Windows Administration WAN/LAN concepts and technologies DNS, IPAM, NTP administration Firewall concepts and technologies Experience with VMWare, vSphere environments * Excellent interpersonal communication skills
