Network Engineer (planning & Governance)

Job Description


  • Expertise in network protocols, risk management, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns, identify bottlenecks, and track performance to proactively detect issues and offer recommendations for network optimization.
  • Actively participate in network audits and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the APAC network aligns with the bank's policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce network operational procedures and manuals, oversee the Network Operations team, review KPIs, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Manage vendors and service providers, including the oversight of Master Service Agreements (MSA), Service Agreements (SA), and service levels, to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on network planning and service-related initiatives, such as disaster recovery drills, third-party risk management, asset management, lifecycle management, privileged access management, and patch management.
  • Oversee the design and architecture of the network to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Possess a solid understanding of network budget planning related to both Capex and Opex, and develop comprehensive network performance reports for management review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Operations Lead or Senior Network Engineer focused on planning, implementation, and operations
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in network planning, design, and implementation.
  • CCNP/CCDP, ITIL, or equivalent certifications are required; CCIE is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of network protocols, risk management, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with network deployments for large enterprises and datacenter environments.
  • Deep understanding of IP routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, QoS, and VPC.
  • Proficiency with Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, F5, or equivalent technologies.
